| Let's Go For a Ride | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| My toy poodle, Payton, loves to ride in the car. Several years back my roomates said he would actually cry for hours if I left without letting him go for a ride. I tried to find a solution and ended up finding something that worked. Before leaving every morning I would say "Payton lets go for a ride" He would jump and wag his tail and run to the car when I opened the door. I would sit him on my lap, crank the car, back to the end of the drive way, pull the car back up to the front door, park and then turn te car off. At that point I would say "Payton we're home" He would bark wag his tail and run to the house door soon as I let him out of the car. Amazingly he was content til I came home just from those short driveway rides everyday. He is now going to be 14 the 12th of April 2006 and still likes to ride in the car even if only for a minute. :D Wen P central FL |

| New PTA Mom | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Well my daughter entered kindergarten and being a devoted mom, I proudly attended my first PTA meeting. During the meeting it began to rain, wow finally rain! I was doing the happy dance because what an opportunity to be a hero to Samantha's younger brother. Without thinking, I excused myself from the meeting, went out and collected two Bufo toads. Having large pockets and no where to put them I saw nothing wrong in housing them in my clothing and went back to the meeting. Well after about 5 minutes I realized that 0 percentage of the other moms liked frogs. When the frogs started jumping around in my pockets the PTA president jumped up and said the meeting was adjourned. The story haunted me for the decade I was an Elementary mom. Ask anyone about Mrs. J. and the legend was told, however each time the alleged amount of frogs increased and reputation grew. Lauren J South FL |

| Hamster Rat | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Back in 1987 I used to breed fancy rats. I also had a hamster with a litter at the same time. The momma hamster ate all her babies, but I did manage to save one. That baby was about the same age as a litter of rats I had , and rats being such wonderful mommies, I put the baby hamster in with the litter of rats .....and Viola.... They were friends their whole lives. That hamster thought he was a rat! This is a pic of the hamster with 2 of his ratties siblings. Chris |
