| Here at Gottaspoilem we Used to breed pocket pets for about 7 years. We started out with rats and also added mice, dwarf hamsters, syrian hamsters and guinea pigs to the program in 2004. We are forever trying to increase our knowledge of these animals and others. We are always available for questions and in the event we do not know the answer we will find it and direct you to that source. I have been taking in and caring for strays/ rescues since I was a child of 7. Our home was always brimming with different animals. There was never a time there was not a stray/ rescue dog, cat, birds that had fallen from their nest, baby squirrels that lost their moms, wild rats and even opossums from time to time in our home. In addition we had other pets. Among them were guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, turtles, fish and even a skunk. Later once on my own, I added having rats, mice, jirds, lizards and gerbils to that list. We even now have wild deer and quail we feed and a peacock someone dumped off out here in the woods we fed for several years.. In my early 20s I worked for Sea World and had the opportunity to learn lots about marine life as well as help care for animals that resided in the education building. These animals included snakes, iguanas, tarantulas, rabbits and hedgehogs. I have studied natural forms of medicines/remedies for years and have been learning how to incorporate it into pet health. I now make Colloidal Silver solution available on this site and am working on other homeopathic care items. In the coming months 2 new items an Immune Boost and a Super Immune Boots added to the store. I am working on a BA in Healtheology which is a combo of holistic meds and theology and am looking into a Herbalist certification program too. | Over time our breeding program shifted from only rats to several different types of rodents. The number of animals in residence changed from time to time since we retired any in breeding after 2-3 litters tops. They then lived out the rest of their lives here with us being spoiled and pampered. We took breaks here and there as our Family had times when many had hit old age stages at around the same time. This alloted us time to spend even more attention on the older kids during the last stages of their lives. When they passed the resident numbers naturally went down and then we started considering new blood lines. SO any that were at any time on our personal pet pages were Yes Bred but Also first and foremost were our Pets. We used breed mice, russian dwarf hamsters, syrian hamster and guinea pigs. WHILE we DO still offer all the pet accessories found on this site, we NO LONGER breed any small animals. We are always happy to try and help someone find the pet they are looking for. This section will be converted into a Tips and Help section for small pet owners. We are also always happy to direct someone looking for a specific type of animal to any sources we have found in order to help them out in finding whatever it is you are looking for. So if we do not carry the type of animal or even variety of that animal we typically will know of someone that does. Here at Gottaspoilem we believe in working with other breeders and rescues alike. |
