| How To Give A Rat A Bath |

| Bath Time for 1 Rat 1)Get tap water in sink faucet nice and warm, then fill sink close to half way. 2)Get kitten shampoo and towel ready. 3)Place dirty rat in water. 4)Catch rat as they jump out of sink trying to get away and place back in water. 5)Repeat step above a few more times. 6)Wet rat good, then lather with a dab of kitten shampoo. 7)Catch slippery, soapy rat as they slip out of hands and jump out of water. 8)Repeat above step a few more times. 9)Place rat back in water and rince suds off being careful to not get shampoo in rats eyes or ears. 10)Take squeeky clean wet rat and towel dry. |
| This page is just for fun. Rats are naturally very clean animals. They bathe themselves even more frequently than cats. We really did give our ratties baths. And yes, most of the time, it does play out like the steps. Some rats love bath time and others dont like it at all. |
| This is our Buffy rat after her bath. She is actually one of ours that loves the water. She will swim around happily in the water. |
| Bath Time For Multiple Rats This is pretty much the same as above except this can be done in the bath tub. When dealing with several rats for bath time at once, you will feel like you need many many hands. Some rats start to look more like hairy flying Fish than rats, as they jump for the Dry Land. |
